STANDARD OIL GUN
LJES Oil Gun Assemblies are used to deliver atomized liquid fuels to load carrying, tilting-tangential burners.
LJES Oil Gun has an oil gun, ranging from 200 -4500 kg/hr fuel output.
Gun model, length, and atomizer size, and type are selected based on your application.
Any liquid fuel may be burned with steam, air, or mechanical atomization.
Atomization can be performed in two ways;
- Wide-range mechanical
- Twin fluid [atomization media – compressed air/steam]
All steam and air atomized oil guns have a high turndown ratio, typically greater than 4:1.
High-Pressure Steam or Air Atomized Oil Guns
LJES high-pressure steam or air atomized oil guns firelight or heavy oils with either atomizing media or no atomizing media.
Although plant air is typically used for a cold start-up when no atomizing steam is available, less costly steam atomization is used mostly.
Mechanically Atomized Oil Guns
LJES Oil Gun Assemblies mechanically atomized type Cold Start oil guns are used to light off and warm up a “cold” boiler on light oil when no atomizing air or steam is available.
LJES’s mechanical spray tips
The oil gun is a parallel tube design with flexible end sections and a removable tip. The tip is selected specifically for each application and varies depending on the gun capacity, type of atomization, and atomization media.
The oil gun utilizes two parallel pipes for oil and steam (air) delivery (or oil return) to the mixing and spray tips.
The flexible stainless steel hoses of the tilting gun provided to accommodate tilt are protected from damage by stainless steel straps on both top and bottom.
The removable union is machined from a solid steel bar.
Firing-rate controls for the four different types of atomization are detailed below:
- Wide-Range Mechanical Atomization – Return oil pressure controls the firing rate.
- Outside Mix (or Y-Jet) – Atomizing media pressure remains constant. Fuel oil pressure to the gun controls the firing rate.
- Inside Mix – Atomizing media pressure is maintained at a constant differential above the fuel oil pressure. Fuel oil pressure to the gun controls the firing rate are for systems that rely on the pressure of the oil for atomization.
- Wide application.
- Directly interchangeable with existing oil guns.
- Requires no major modification.
- Wide range of capacity.
- Easy maintenance.
- Multiple methods of atomization.
- Proven reliability
